Dr Flip Schutte- My Story
My personal mission in life is to add value to the lives of other people. I decided to add value by coaching people to grow and to materialise their aspirations. Most people have the possibilities within themselves to be successful. They just don’t believe in their own potential. Or, they just need somebody who believes in them and who can help them to unlock their capacity. I have declared myself willing to be that person.
The moment when you have a plan, see the bigger picture and know where you fit in, things start making sense. And when things make sense you are more committed to making it work. I facilitate this process in people’s lives because I believe that every person on earth has a purpose to fulfil and must get the opportunity to be successful in what he or she does. Coaching is the vehicle which I use to unlock potential.
In this day and age, I know that one can’t sit and wait for a job. One must get up and create a job for yourself. Any viable idea, hobby or small business can be transformed into a sustainable venture that can create an income to support your livelihoods. Business coaching is my contribution to growing the South African economy. One entrepreneur at a time. Entrepreneurship is the best way to contribute to economic growth in any country, therefore I believe that the work that I am doing is to fulfil my calling in life!

Why Work With Me?
I have a passion for working with people, especially when I can add something to make other people more successful. I love training and development of people. I have strong analytical skills and I am a natural strategist. I have been a corporate sales manager for 12 years and are passionate about coaching people and teams. At the moment I am a fulltime academic, lecturing Marketing, Organisational Behaviour and Entrepreneurship. I am also the HOD of the Department of Marketing and Public Relations.

Market Research
We do two types of market research at Qalisa. We either do desktop research, and create a report; or we design questionnaires, distribute it to a target market, collect it, interpret the data, and draw up a report. It depend on the client’s needs and nature of info requested.
Coaching
The CEO of Qalisa is a professional business coach. He receives a Doctorate in Business Leadership from UNISA’s Business School with his area of specialisation in business coaching.
Arrangement of Facilities
Some young entrepreneurs start their business from home, working for the first few months, even years from their bedroom or dining table. They not always have access to fax machines, scanners, internet or even meeting facilities. We can provide, if you are near our offices, or we can help you to find the services in the area where you are operating.

His area of speciality for corporate training is management development; project management; sales and marketing; or, the facilitation of growth or change management strategies.

Networking is the best form of personal marketing. Because we have access to so many businesses and entrepreneurs, we can introduce you to people with whom you can develop synergies or who can become customers. We also create network opportunities from time to time, or we can help you to look for network opportunities in the area where you are living.
Back Office Support
Some young entrepreneur are not yet competent in the writing of memo’s, corporate letters or copy for adds. We assist. They are also not always knowledgeable in the conducting of interview to appoint people or to negotiate transactions or contracts. We help and we coach to groom them into proper business people.
Sustainability
Nobody opens a business or start a venture just to close it down again in a few months’ time. At Qalisa we believe that research and homework before you start-up is an important key to create sustainability. Your business must be viable and feasible, and we will be honest with you if we think that your idea is not sustainable. We wouldn’t like you to through money at something that doesn’t hold opportunity, promises and hope!
