What Exactly is Business Coaching? Do I really need it?

Coaching Basics

Business coaching is the practice of providing support and occasional advice to an individual or group in order to help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their business. Business coaches work to improve leadership, employee accountability, teamwork, sales, communication, goal setting, strategic planning and more. It can be provided in a number of ways, including one-on-one coaching, group coaching sessions and large scale seminars.

Do You Need Business Coaching

Do you have an amazing idea that you’d like to turn into a business? Has your current business hit a plateau in sales? Do you want to pivot your business to a new or additional audience? Do you need assistance in creating sustainable business networks? Do you need ways to secure funding for your project or business? Do you need advice for marketing and selling your products and services?

My Approach to Coaching

Coaching is a one-on-one relationship of trust with the aim to grow either the entrepreneur or his or her business. Normally it is a combination of both. No Olympic medallist wins gold without having a coach to keep you focused and target driven.

Expand Your Sales, Marketing, & Networking Reach

Starting a new business is not only about having products or nice online sites. Being in business is to be busy prospecting every single day and at every possible opportunity.

Have an Active Vision, Strategy, & Roadmap to Reach Your Goals

If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. At Qalisa we want to coach you to create a roadmap or an architectural plan to design the future of your business and to make sure you stay on track. Vision and strategy are some of the most powerful energies in a business.

Scale & Maintain Healthy Operations & Culture

A company’s culture is their testimonial to the world. The culture spells out “how we do things here!”  Qalisa believes that healthy and sound operations, a culture of service delivery and keeping to promises is the best way in which you can grow your company and strengthens your footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Business Coaching?
Business coaching is the practice of providing support and occasional advice to an individual or group in order to help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their business. Business coaches work to improve leadership, employee accountability, teamwork, sales, communication, goal setting, strategic planning and more. It can be provided in a number of ways, including one-on-one coaching, group coaching sessions and large scale seminars.
How Do I Know if Business Coaching Is Right for Me?
If you want to improve any aspect of your life or business, you are a candidate for coaching. Coaching is a developmental approach within which one person wishing to improve his or her skills, elects to be assisted by another person. The concept of learning by working with someone else has been explored in the world of sport, education and psychology, although this is also how architects, sculptors, and stonemasons who built cathedrals during the Middle Ages, learned their trades. Many trades and professions still use this formula today, therefore, it appears logical to think that coaching could be used to help entrepreneurs to master their new venture.
Do You Only Work With Established Companies?
At Qalisa we mainly focus on entrepreneurs who want to make a success of their start-up venture, but we also coach senior executives or middle management in corporate companies.
Do You Offer Ongoing Consulting Services?
Coaching is never a once-off intervention. Maybe training or skills development can be a once-off, but at Qalisa we prefer to build long-term relationships and coach a person or company until they have reached their goals. We also prefer to make contact on a weekly basis, because that keeps one focused and it provides an opportunity to vent, to test or brainstorm ideas, and to make quick changes to plans which need some adaption.
Do You Invest In Startup Companies?
Qalisa is not a funding company, although we help start-ups in two ways to get possible access to funding. We prepare a business plan to be presented at financial institutions for funding; or, we try to raise start-up funding through social or group funding methods.
