What I Can Do For Your Business

Access to Funding

Many entrepreneurs don’t want to risk starting a business because they think they don’t have the capital to do so. At Qalisa we believe that once you have a market for your product, you have a business. There are other options to get access to funding. We can either help you to write a business plan for a financial institution, or we can try to raise money through social or group funding.

Marketing Support

At Qalisa we have close relationships with marketing agencies and if you enrol for the one year full program, you enrolment fee includes the creation of a webpage, Facebook page and the first marketing campaign to introduce your business to the market out there.

Training and Development

Because of our experience and network of mentors, we can assist with any type of business training that a start-up entrepreneur may need in his or her business. We also enter into a long-term relationship not only to quickly train a person a few skills, but to develop a person into a real business person.

Access to Science and Technology

With years of experience in the coaching and academic field, I have access to the best online libraries and academic journals available in the word. At Qalisa we have a dedicated research team that can help with research in the industry that you want to enter.

Market Research

We do two types of market research at Qalisa. We either do desktop research, and create a report; or we design questionnaires, distribute it to a target market, collect it, interpret the data, and draw up a report. It depend on the client’s needs and nature of info requested.

Coaching

The CEO of Qalisa is a professional business coach. He receives a Doctorate in Business Leadership from UNISA’s Business School with his area of specialisation in business coaching.

Arrangement of Facilities

Some young entrepreneurs start their business from home, working for the first few months, even years from their bedroom or dining table. They not always have access to fax machines, scanners, internet or even meeting facilities. We can provide, if you are near our offices, or we can help you to find the services in the area where you are operating.

Management Training

The CEO of Qalisa has a reputation for being a high-in-demand corporate trainer and change management facilitator for the past 15 years. His area of speciality for corporate training is management development; project management; sales and marketing; or, the facilitation of growth or change management strategies.

Integration into a Broader Economy

An entrepreneur can’t sell his or her product or service if they are not visible in the marketplace. Therefore it is the mission of Qalisa to make you visible with our marketing effort. Entrepreneurs are the backbone of a country’s economy. They should thus be integrated with the mainstream business world and economy either on a micro or macro scale.

Networking

Networking is the best form of personal marketing. Because we have access to so many businesses and entrepreneurs, we can introduce you to people with whom you can develop synergies or who can become customers. We also create network opportunities from time to time, or we can help you to look for network opportunities in the area where you are living.

Back Office Support

Some young entrepreneur are not yet competent in the writing of memo’s, corporate letters or copy for adds. We assist. They are also not always knowledgeable in the conducting of interview to appoint people or to negotiate transactions or contracts. We help and we coach to groom them into proper business people.

Sustainability

Nobody opens a business or start a venture just to close it down again in a few months’ time. At Qalisa we believe that research and homework before you start-up is an important key to create sustainability. Your business must be viable and feasible, and we will be honest with you if we think that your idea is not sustainable. We wouldn’t like you to through money at something that doesn’t hold opportunity, promises and hope!

My Approach to Coaching

Coaching is a one-on-one relationship of trust with the aim to grow either the entrepreneur or his or her business. Normally it is a combination of both. No Olympic medallist wins gold without having a coach to keep you focused and target driven.

Expand Your Sales, Marketing, & Networking Reach

Starting a new business is not only about having products or nice online sites. Being in business is to be busy prospecting every single day and at every possible opportunity.

Have an Active Vision, Strategy, & Roadmap to Reach Your Goals

If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. At Qalisa we want to coach you to create a roadmap or an architectural plan to design the future of your business and to make sure you stay on track. Vision and strategy are some of the most powerful energies in a business.

Scale & Maintain Healthy Operations & Culture

A company’s culture is their testimonial to the world. The culture spells out “how we do things here!”  Qalisa believes that healthy and sound operations, a culture of service delivery and keeping to promises is the best way in which you can grow your company and strengthens your footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Business Coaching?
Business coaching is the practice of providing support and occasional advice to an individual or group in order to help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their business. Business coaches work to improve leadership, employee accountability, teamwork, sales, communication, goal setting, strategic planning and more. It can be provided in a number of ways, including one-on-one coaching, group coaching sessions and large scale seminars.
How Do I Know if Business Coaching Is Right for Me?
If you want to improve any aspect of your life or business, you are a candidate for coaching. Coaching is a developmental approach within which one person wishing to improve his or her skills, elects to be assisted by another person. The concept of learning by working with someone else has been explored in the world of sport, education and psychology, although this is also how architects, sculptors, and stonemasons who built cathedrals during the Middle Ages, learned their trades. Many trades and professions still use this formula today, therefore, it appears logical to think that coaching could be used to help entrepreneurs to master their new venture.
Do You Only Work With Established Companies?
At Qalisa we mainly focus on entrepreneurs who want to make a success of their start-up venture, but we also coach senior executives or middle management in corporate companies.
Do You Offer Ongoing Consulting Services?
Coaching is never a once-off intervention. Maybe training or skills development can be a once-off, but at Qalisa we prefer to build long-term relationships and coach a person or company until they have reached their goals. We also prefer to make contact on a weekly basis, because that keeps one focused and it provides an opportunity to vent, to test or brainstorm ideas, and to make quick changes to plans which need some adaption.
Do You Invest In Startup Companies?
Qalisa is not a funding company, although we help start-ups in two ways to get possible access to funding. We prepare a business plan to be presented at financial institutions for funding; or, we try to raise start-up funding through social or group funding methods.
